I first met Derek when I auditioned for Keynote Blue and he immediately made me feel at ease with his calm and gentle manner. We had a common passion for the guitar and would always chat in rehearsal breaks about guitars, guitarists and our favourite music. I only knew him for a short while be he felt like an old friend.
