Derek and I first met when we were 11 years old, and in our first year at Thames Valley Grammar School. We quickly became best friends, and have been ever since. We had so many great times together, along with my brother Kevin, Stephen Chandler, Stewart Holmes and Paul Ward. In December 1977, Derek did me the honour of being my best man at my wedding in Denver, Colorado. I’ll miss you, old pal. I hope that wherever you are, you’re at peace. Much Love, Ian xxx
